Additional information

Additional information

The CSC (Canada Safety Council) instructor accreditation training is a 5-day (or 40-hour) course. Exceptionally, a 3-day training course is also available for ATV instructors who are already active and accredited by the CSC. Groups of up to 8 participants may be formed.

Our CSC accreditation as Chief Instructor allows us to train future instructors in all Canadian provinces, especially where there is a demand for training in French.

Each participant must have a snowmobile in good condition, and which meets the provincial requirements of ORV (off-road vehicle)-related legislation.

The snowmobile must be equipped with the following:

  • Headlights and brake lights;

  • Braking system;

  • Red reflector in the back and on each side;

  • Orange/Amber reflector in front and on both sides;

  • Safety controls for acceleration and braking:

  • Sound-proofing and standard muffler;

  • Emergency Stop Switch (Kill Switch);

  • Handgrips or strap for passenger;

  • Windshield with the protective band in place;
  • A rearview mirror firmly attached to the left side of the vehicle;

  • A speedometer

The equipment must be installed in accordance with the instructions and recommendations of its manufacturer, and only on a vehicule for which it was designed.

This training course is given at our site located in l’Ange-Gardien, near Quebec City , but  we can also   teach it at your workplace.

If you wish to receive the training at your workplace, additional fees shall apply. You will need to provide a room, with enough tables and chairs to accommodate 10 to 12 people, for the duration of the course. There must also be nearby access to a flat obstacle-free terrain, covered with 6 inches of compacted snow and measuring at least 150 x 200 feet, and a parking space for all the vehicles, as well as a portion of land with a hill and inclined slope. A snow groomer is required to level the ground after each training day.

Reservations must be made at least 2 months before the scheduled course date.

This training can be given in French or in English.
