Additional information

Additional information

The CSC (Canada Safety Council) instructor accreditation training is a 5-day (or 40-hour) course. Exceptionally, a 3-day training course is also available for ATV instructors who are already active and accredited by the CSC. Groups of up to 8 participants may be formed.

Our CSC accreditation as Chief Instructor allows us to train future instructors in all Canadian provinces, especially where there is a demand for training in French.

Each participant must have a UTV (side-by-side) in good condition, mounted on wheels, and which meets the provincial requirements of ORV (off-road vehicle)-related legislation.

The vehicle must be equipped with the following:

  • Two white headlights placed at the same height, on each side of the central vertical axis and as far apart from each other as possible;

  • A Rollover Protection System (ROPS) to prevent injuries in the event of a rollover, made up of at least 2 safety arches linked together by at least 2 crosspieces;

  • Doors or Occupant Retention System (ORS) for each passenger;

  • Handgrips for each passenger;

  • A threepoint seat belt for each passenger:

  • A head restraint for each passenger;

  • Engine displacement equal to or less than1 000 cc;

  • All-terrain low-pressure tires that meet provincial standards;

  • A rearview mirror fixed in the center of the upper front part of the ROPS (not applicable for single seat vehicle).

The equipment must be installed in accordance with the instructions and recommendations of its manufacturer, and only on a vehicule for which it was designed.

This training course is given at our site located in l’Ange-Gardien, near Quebec City , but  we can also   teach it at your workplace.

If you wish to receive the training at your workplace, additional fees shall apply. You will need to provide a room, with enough tables and chairs to accommodate 10 to 12 people, for the duration of the course. There must also be nearby access to a flat obstacle-free and unpaved terrain measuring at least 150 x 200 feet, and a parking space for all the vehicles, as well as a portion of land with a hill and inclined slope.

Reservations must be made at least 2 months before the scheduled course date.
